Travel Registered Nurse OR Job
Registered Nurse – Operating Room (Travel) in Glens Falls, NY. Start date 05/14/2026 for a 13-week assignment. Weekly pay $2,113–$2,268 per week. No guaranteed hours. Shift: 3x12-hour days. Working in a hospital operating room setting with coverage across multiple surgical specialties; strong emphasis on EPIC experience and primary circulating duties, with scrub as a valued additional skill.

Responsibilities
- Provide circulating leadership and perioperative nursing care before, during, and after surgery across vascular, ortho trauma, general surgery, robotics, urology, ENT, and related specialties
- Maintain sterile technique and OR safety, assist with draping, positioning, instrument setup, and instrument handling; coordinate with anesthesia and the surgical team
- Assist with preoperative patient preparation, intraoperative monitoring, and post-anesthesia recovery as needed
- Document patient care in the electronic medical record (EPIC) and communicate updates to the team; contribute to accurate handoffs and patient education
- Support obstetric cases including cesarean deliveries as part of OR coverage; collaborate with labor and delivery teams as appropriate
- Adapt to role flexibility (primarily circulating with scrub responsibilities as available) and contribute to a safe, efficient OR environment
Requirements
- Licenses/Certifications:
- Active New York RN license
- New York Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration Certificate must be uploaded with traveler profile
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- EPIC experience required
- Experience:
- 2+ years of current OR experience (required)
- Travel experience (required)
- Scrub and Circulate experience (required)
- Vascular, ortho trauma, gen surg, robotics, urology, ENT experience preferred
- Additional requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Traveler must have own vehicle
- All travelers must complete a 14-panel drug screen within 24 hours of offer acceptance
- Verbal de-escalation training (Welle), CPI, or PMCS training required for onboarding
- RTO requests must be noted at upload; requests after upload may not be approved
- Permanent address must be included and match driver license/state ID; NY county restrictions apply (applicants from Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, Washington counties not eligible for this assignment)
