Travel Registered Nurse CCU Job
RN - Cardiovascular Care Unit (CCU) – Days in Chico, California, United States. Start date: 03/23/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay range: $2,479–$2,620 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: 3x12-hour days. Setting: hospital travel assignment. This travel nursing position focuses on high-acuity cardiovascular care, with a patient population from young adult to geriatric, and may require floating to Med/Surg as needed.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for CCU patients with medium-to-high acuity, including post-operative cardiac care, arrhythmia management, and myocardial infarction care.
- Monitor hemodynamics, telemetry, invasive lines, and respiratory status; interpret data and respond promptly to changes.
- Administer prescribed medications, monitor for adverse effects, and document care in the electronic charting system (EPIC).
- Collaborate with cardiology, surgery, case management, and ancillary staff to develop and adjust individualized care plans; contribute to discharge planning and family education.
- Prepare and assist with pre/post-operative cardiac procedures; participate in rapid response and code events as needed.
- Maintain patient safety and comfort; ensure compliant nurse-to-patient ratios (not to exceed 1:4); may float to Med/Surg per unit needs.
Requirements
- Active California RN license
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- EPIC charting experience
- Minimum 2 years of Critical Care experience (CCU or equivalent)
- Ability to float to Med/Surg and adapt to variable unit needs as required
