OR Tech – operating room scrub technologist travel assignment in Hermiston, Oregon, United States. Start date: 06/15/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,839–$1,927 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: 3x12 rotating. Setting: critical access hospital; travel - temporary assignment.

Responsibilities
- Function as scrub person during operative and other invasive procedures by assembling supplies and equipment, preparing sterile supplies and instruments, maintaining the sterile field, assisting with draping, and providing instruments to the surgical team.
- Maintain sterility of the field, anticipate needs of the surgeons, and prepare sterile dressings while ensuring an organized and clean work area.
- Clean and prepare surgical instruments for processing and transport them to decontamination areas; assist with room turnover between cases.
- Assist with post-procedure cleaning of the operative room and prepare the room for subsequent patients.
- Participate in ongoing educational and competency verification activities applicable to scrub responsibilities; maintain privacy and confidentiality of patient information; participate in required education for applicable programs (e.g., DNV-related education).
Requirements
- Education: Graduate from an accredited surgical technology program.
- Certifications: BLS certification required; CST certification preferred.
- Training: CRASE training required if the travel assignment extends beyond a 6-month period.
- Skills/Experience: Ability to function effectively as a scrub tech, maintain the sterile field, and be flexible with potential cross-department duties as needed.
- General: Willingness to work in a travel assignment and adapt to a critical access hospital environment.
