Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for ICU patients according to established standards and the nursing process
- Monitor patient status, administer medications, and manage lines and devices as appropriate
- Recognize and respond promptly to clinical changes and potential emergencies
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other disciplines to implement care plans
- Supervise and direct activities of nursing staff at various levels; delegate tasks as appropriate
- Document care, outcomes, and observations accurately and in a timely manner
- Uphold patient safety and infection control standards; ensure compliance with policies and procedures
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California
- ICU experience; 1+ year preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts in an ICU/critical care environment
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
