Registered Dietitian (Clinical) travel assignment in Bakersfield, California. Start date 08/17/2026 for 8 weeks. Weekly pay range $2,649–$2,775 per week. 40 hours per week guaranteed. Day shift. Inpatient clinical nutrition care in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nutritional assessment and reassessment for patients identified with nutritional risk criteria; develop and implement nutrition care plans; educate patients and families; document interventions in accordance with policy and acceptable practice standards.
- Act as a competent clinician delivering clinical nutrition care in a skilled and effective manner, utilizing appropriate technical and decision-making skills.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team; participate in rounds; adjust nutrition plans based on patient progress and orders.
- Monitor nutrition status, identify changes, and escalate as needed; ensure timely updates to care plans and documentation in the electronic health record.
- Communicate nutritional goals and education to patients, families, and staff; maintain policy-compliant documentation and adherence to standards.
Requirements
- Active California license as a Registered Dietitian or eligibility to obtain licensure.
- Certification as a Registered Dietitian (CDR) or eligibility.
- Bachelor's degree in Dietetics or Nutrition from an ACEND-accredited program; supervised practice completed.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week in a dayshift travel assignment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; proficient in documentation and electronic health records; ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
