Travel Registered Nurse Electrophysiology Job
Registered Nurse – Electrophysiology (EP) travel assignment in Rochester, NY. Start date 08/03/2026 for a 13-week assignment. Weekly pay ranges from $2,787 to $2,904 per week. Guaranteed hours are 0.0. Shift is 12-hour days, primarily days with some late nights, holidays, and on-call per unit needs, with no weekend shifts. Work setting involves an EP lab in a clinical inpatient environment, with active collaboration among physicians, anesthesia, and EP team members. The EP RN will participate in diagnostic EP procedures and interventions, including mapping, electrophysiology studies, and device-related work, while maintaining patient safety and documentation.

Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for electrophysiology procedures and ensure all equipment and instrumentation are ready for use, acting as circulator at the sterile field during studies and ablations
- Monitor real-time readouts and assist with data collection, interpretation, and documentation in the patient’s chart (Epic is the primary documentation system)
- Provide back-up pacing during implants and assist with pacing implementations and other permanent device-related activities
- Maintain catheter fluids and assist with the ablation catheter and ablator as needed; coordinate room turnover and timely starts for patient care
- Communicate effectively with physicians, in-room staff, anesthesia, and Epic team to ensure supplies and equipment are available; coordinate with charge nurse and vendors for scheduled procedures
- Demonstrate proficiency in moderate sedation and uphold sterile technique throughout procedures
Requirements
- Active New York RN license (OLNY)
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience (EP lab/related procedural experience preferred)
- Proficiency in moderate sedation
- Cardiac implant or structural heart scrub experience preferred but not required
- Familiarity with EP equipment and documentation workflows; GE MacLab/CardioLab experience preferred but not required
