Travel Scrub Technician Job
Scrub Technician opportunity in Helena, MT, starting 04/26/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment at a hospital setting. Earn $1,762–$1,830 per week with 40 guaranteed hours. Schedule consists of four 10-hour day shifts per week, with weekend call. The role supports a broad range of elective and emergent surgeries, including heavy total joint and orthopedic cases, and uses Epic as the electronic medical record.

Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile instrument trays and supplies; maintain a sterile field during procedures
- Pass instruments, retractors, and supplies to the surgical team; assist with instrument counts
- Assist with patient positioning, draping, and intraoperative care across a range of surgeries
- Support elective and emergent cases, with emphasis on heavy total joint and orthopedic procedures, as well as ortho spine, gynecology, robotic, urology, general, ENT
- Handle turnover between cases and coordinate with the circulating nurse; maintain documentation in the EMR
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and procedural efficiency; adhere to aseptic technique and OR standards
- Documentation in Epic as required; participate in on-call coverage as assigned
Requirements
- 2+ years of OR scrub experience; heavy total joint and orthopedic experience required
- Prior travel experience required
- Certification: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred; BLS required
- EMR: Epic experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital OR environment and to fulfill weekend call shifts
