Travel Registered Nurse LTC Job
Registered Nurse – Long-Term Care (LTC) travel assignment in Roswell, New Mexico. Start date 04/14/2026 for a 13-week contract with guaranteed 48 hours per week. Shift is 3x12-hour nights (6:00 pm–6:30 am), pattern Thurs–Sun. The assignment occurs in an outpatient and inpatient substance abuse rehabilitation setting. Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adults in a chemical dependency unit during night shifts, observing for withdrawal symptoms and safety concerns.
- Monitor and document vitals, mental status, and response to medications; implement treatment plans per physician orders and unit protocols.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments; observe for adverse reactions and escalation needs.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including physicians, behavioral health specialists, and social services to support withdrawal management and rehab planning.
- Maintain accurate documentation in medical records; ensure complete handoffs during shift changes and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Ensure a safe, therapeutic environment; uphold infection control standards and respond promptly to emergencies.
Requirements
- Experience in chemical dependency required.
- Must arrive a few days prior to start to complete New Mexico fingerprinting.
- Availability for 12-hour night shifts (Thurs–Sun pattern) during the 13-week assignment.
- Willingness to travel for a temporary travel assignment and commit to the contract duration.
