Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or group of patients using the nursing process.
- Collect pertinent data, assess needs, develop and implement an individualized care plan, and evaluate outcomes.
- Supervise and direct activities of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines.
- Administer medications and treatments, monitor patient responses, and document care in the medical record.
- Participate in discharge planning, provide patient and family education, and promote a safe, healing environment.
- Collaborate with the care team to ensure continuity of care and appropriate escalation when needed.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice (California) or as required by assignment.
- BLS certification or CPR certification from an approved vendor (per policy).
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent acute/Med Surg nursing experience.
- Certifications: Epic EMR experience required; current BLS/CPR certification.
- Facility setting: able to work in an acute hospital environment.
- Ability to float to Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units as needed.
