Registered Nurse, Med Surg — Atlanta, GA. Travel - Temporary Assignment. Start date 05/18/2026 for 8 weeks. Weekly pay range $1,587–$1,673 per week with guaranteed 36 hours. Shift: 2x3 Days. Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for adult Med Surg patients on a high-acuity floor, including spinal neuro trauma surgical cases, gunshot injuries, paraplegia/quadriplegia, and related conditions
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, implement and adjust individualized care plans, administer medications and IV therapies, monitor lab values and patient status
- Document all patient care activities in the EPIC electronic health record with accuracy and timeliness
- Collaborate with Nursing Support Techs, phlebotomists, and unit secretaries; coordinate nurse handoffs with ED and admitting units
- Ensure patient safety, manage pain, assist with mobility and rehabilitation, and provide patient and family education as appropriate
- Maintain flexibility to work assigned shifts as needed; no block scheduling
Requirements
- Active RN license (state assignment as required)
- Minimum 2 years of med-surg/high-acuity experience
- BLS required; ACLS preferred
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Ability to work on a high-acuity unit serving neuro/trauma/surgical populations
- Willingness to work assigned shifts as needed; no block scheduling
