Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for an assigned group of patients according to established standards and the nursing process.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care; monitor and respond to changes in patient status.
- Supervise and direct activities of nursing staff at various levels; delegate tasks appropriately.
- Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and other disciplines to ensure safe, effective treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold patient safety, infection control, and quality-of-care standards.
- Contribute to unit operations in a general acute care setting with a medical/surgical mix, following organizational policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Nursing degree from an approved program (ADN or BSN)
- Med/Surg or general acute care experience preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts in a fast-paced unit
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and collaborative skills
