Responsibilities
- Deliver respiratory therapy and patient care per physician orders, hospital policies, and department standards of care and practice
- Perform therapeutic and diagnostic pulmonary and cardiovascular procedures
- Evaluate patient response to respiratory therapy and adjust treatment as needed
- Educate patients and staff on respiratory procedures, equipment operation, and safety precautions
- Perform routine maintenance and service checks on respiratory therapy equipment
- Maintain records, reports, and other documentation related to the work
Requirements
- Active Michigan respiratory therapy license
- 2+ years of RRT experience (required)
- Ventilator, BiPAP, ICU/ER, and ABG trained therapist
- BLS and NBRC certifications
- ACLS certification preferred
- On-call availability required
- Availability for every third weekend
