Responsibilities
- Perform CT imaging procedures and related imaging (X-ray and fluoroscopy when required) according to orders and approved protocols.
- Position patients, select appropriate imaging parameters, ensure image quality, and document findings per department guidelines.
- Operate CT, fluoroscopy, and X-ray equipment safely; adhere to ALARA principles and radiation safety standards.
- Collaborate with radiologists and clinicians to communicate findings and ensure patient safety and comfort throughout procedures.
- Maintain patient care standards, assist with contrast administration when applicable, and document procedures in the electronic medical record.
- Verify patient identification and orders, practice infection control, and maintain equipment readiness and basic supply management.
Requirements
- ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist: RT(R)(CT) or RT(R) certification required
- California Radiologic Technologist license required
- Advanced Certification in CT required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (vendor-acceptable per AH policy)
- Fluoroscopy license in California required if operating fluoroscopy equipment
- Venipuncture certification preferred
