Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ER) travel assignment in the Cumming, Georgia area. Start date: 10/05/2026. Assignment length: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,690–$1,716. Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to ED patients, including triage, initial assessments, vital signs, and ongoing monitoring.
- Administer medications, initiate IV access, and coordinate labs and imaging as ordered; manage telemetry and monitoring equipment.
- Perform ongoing reassessments, interpret patient data, and respond to changes in condition; implement ACLS protocols as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and adjust care plans; participate in rapid response and code events.
- Document care in the electronic health record with accuracy and timeliness; ensure patient safety, infection control, and privacy compliance.
- Communicate with patients and families about care plans, discharge instructions, and available resources; assist with transfers or admissions as appropriate.
- Holiday coverage: be prepared to work two major holidays from Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day, plus one minor holiday (as scheduled).
Requirements
- Current, active Registered Nurse license in Georgia
- Certifications: AHA BLS, PALS, ACLS, and NIHSS required
- Minimum 2 years of recent, relevant ER experience
- Ability to work a 12-hour night-shift schedule (7 PM–7 AM)
- No local candidates within 50 miles of the assignment location
