Responsibilities
- Organize and conduct medically prescribed physical therapy to address impairments and functional limitations, aiming to improve the patient’s quality of life after injury or disease
- Perform PT assessments and create treatment plans that consider age, gender, cultural differences, and patient education needs
- Deliver evidence-based interventions and document progress, adjusting plans as needed in collaboration with the care team
- Provide patient and caregiver education to maximize exercise adherence, safety, and functional outcomes
- Maintain professional standards, comply with hospital policies, and ensure patient safety during therapy sessions
- Travel-specific duties include outpatient care with inpatient float, and on-call weekend coverage 1x per month
- Travel eligibility note: Will not accept in-state travelers unless they exceed a 250-mile radius
Requirements
- Current Montana physical therapy license and BLS certification
- Degree from an American Physical Therapy Association-accredited program
- Ability to pass background check and drug screen
- Amiable personality with sound judgment and empathetic, patient-centered approach
- Willingness to work in a SNF travel setting with outpatient and inpatient float responsibilities
- Ability to work a rotating schedule and maintain 40 hours per week
