Travel Occupational Therapist Job
Occupational Therapist – Acute Care in Cumming, Georgia. Start date: 05/11/2026. 13-week travel assignment with guaranteed 40 hours per week. Shift is 8-hour days, Monday through Friday (830a–430p) with four weekends per four weeks and holiday coverage. Weekly pay ranges from $1,974 to $2,044. This assignment supports an acute care OT department serving a broad mix of medical and surgical diagnoses. Note: No local candidates within 50 miles of the assignment location.

Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy evaluations and treatments for acute care patients per physician orders
- Develop and implement patient-specific treatment plans; monitor progress and adjust as needed
- Address a wide range of diagnoses, including ICU patients, stroke/neurological, orthopedics, and general debility
- Promote independence in activities of daily living, mobility, cognition, and upper-extremity function; assist with discharge planning and home programs
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (nursing, PT, SLP, physicians) to optimize patient outcomes
- Document care in the electronic charting system (Cerner/OneChart) and ensure compliance with hospital policies and AHA BLS standards
Requirements
- GA licensed Occupational Therapist
- AHA BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of OT experience within the specialty
- Proven experience in an acute care setting, including ICU, stroke/neurology, orthopedics, and general debility
- Proficiency with Cerner/OneChart electronic health record
- Ability to work 40 hours per week for 13 weeks, with a schedule that includes weekends and holidays as required
- Ability to work in a hospital acute care environment
