Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Registered Nurse – ER, Emergency Department, Fort Defiance, Arizona. Start date 06/21/2026 for a 16-week travel assignment in a Short Term Acute Care Hospital. Weekly pay ranges from $2,424 to $2,604 per week, with 36 guaranteed hours. Shift: 3x12 Flex. The ED comprises Main ED, Fast Track, and Observation Unit, with regular rotation through areas and potential cross-coverage duties as needs arise.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in the ED across Main ED, Fast Track, and Observation Unit, including triage, assessment, stabilization, and ongoing monitoring
- Administer medications, perform assessments, interpret data, and initiate appropriate interventions per policy and evidence-based practice
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, manage patient loads, and assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges as needed
- Rotate through ED areas daily and support related tasks such as triage, quick registration, COVID testing, and entry screening
- Participate in immunization clinics or other related public health tasks as assigned, and float to other departments when qualified
- Document care accurately in the electronic medical record, maintain patient safety, infection control, and privacy standards
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent RN ER experience
- Certifications: American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC, and conscious sedation certification (facility obtained after confirmation, $105 fee)
- Ability to rotate through ED areas and to float to other departments as needed
- Flexible to shifts and scheduling changes; may be required to cover day shift or other needs per facility
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced ED environment and adapt to changing patient volume
