Responsibilities
- Under direction, oversee inpatient pharmaceutical services including procurement, distribution, storage, and administration of drugs by appropriate staff; ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations.
- Review operations of drug distribution systems, maintain the Pharmacy Services Policy and Procedure Manual, and recommend process improvements to support efficient operation and regulatory compliance.
- Provide drug information to other health care professionals via written materials, references, or telephone conferences; support formulary management and cost-saving initiatives.
- Serve as Pharmacist in Charge as assigned; assist with licensure matters and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Review inpatient medication orders for appropriateness and safety; verify home medications prior to use; maintain inventory, crash carts, and other essential drug stocks.
- Maintain records of procurement, dispensing, and destruction of pharmaceuticals; ensure proper ordering, billing, and documentation; participate in weekend retail coverage for emergency dispensing and after-hours on-call responsibilities as required.
- Support quality assurance activities and ensure compliance with accreditation standards and applicable laws.

Requirements
- Active Pharmacist license in California (Pharmacist currently licensed or eligibility to practice in CA).
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree or equivalent.
- Inpatient pharmacy experience within the last 3 years.
- Ability to work in a hospital setting, including weekends; comfortable with a travel assignment schedule.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills; attention to detail and commitment to patient safety and regulatory compliance.
