Travel Physical Therapist Job
CWHH-Physical Therapist is a travel, temporary assignment in a hospital setting based in Tucson, AZ. The start date is 05/25/2026 for a 14-week assignment with guaranteed 40 hours per week. Shifts are 8 hours long. This role supports patients across age groups and works within an interdisciplinary team to restore and maintain functional well‑being through medically prescribed physical therapy.

Responsibilities
- Perform clinical assessments to identify patient needs and determine appropriateness of physical therapy.
- Document, prepare, review, and complete a Plan of Care (POC), progress notes, phone orders, and other clinical records; revise the POC based on ongoing data.
- Plan and provide treatment for neuromuscular, neurological, and orthopedic disorders in line with medical referrals and therapy evaluations.
- Instruct patients and families on transfer techniques appropriate to abilities; educate on the safe use of equipment (walkers, canes, braces, wheelchairs, prosthetic devices).
- Select and utilize appropriate rehabilitative equipment and order devices to meet patient needs; adapt equipment to home environments as required.
- Provide patient and family education regarding therapeutic procedures, safety, and home exercise programs; participate in coordination with the interdisciplinary team.
- Monitor infection control and universal precautions in delivering care; accept clinical assignments aligned with education and competence.
- Participate in care planning with physicians and other team members; supervise and guide other staff as applicable; support patient-centered care.
Requirements
- Active Physical Therapist license in the state of Arizona (Required)
- Proof of current CPR certification (Required)
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an American Physical Therapy Association–approved program (Required)
- 1–2 years of physical therapy experience in an acute care or rehabilitation setting (Required)
- Current driver's license with reliable transportation and adequate auto insurance (Required)
- Ability to work in a hospital setting and participate in a travel assignment; proficient in documentation and interdisciplinary collaboration
