Travel Registered Nurse LTAC Job
Registered Nurse – LTAC (Long Length of Stay Acute Med‑Surg) in Olympia, WA. Start date: 09/09/2026. Duration: Weeks. Weekly pay: $2,046–$2,156 per week. No guaranteed hours. Shift: 3x12 Days. Travel - Temporary Assignment in a short-term acute care hospital setting. This role focuses on long length-of-stay patients with added acute medical beds on a 22-bed unit and requires regular float to similar Med‑Surg units within scope.

Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive med-surg nursing care for adults and geriatrics, including patients with behavioral/cognitive challenges.
- Provide care for long-length-of-stay patients plus up to 8 additional acute medical beds; manage complex needs and safety.
- Perform wound care (including wound VAC), feeding tube care, colostomy/ileostomy care, IV therapy, medication administration, blood product administration, and oxygen/airway support.
- Monitor patient status, respond to changes, manage drains and post-op considerations, and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams (PT, Respiratory, Pharmacy, Social Services, Radiology, Phlebotomy, Rapid Response).
- Utilize EPIC for charting; uphold accurate documentation and care planning; participate in care coordination and discharge planning as appropriate.
- Assist with mobility and activities of daily living using lifts and mobility equipment; uphold patient safety and fall prevention.
Requirements
- Active RN license (not pending) in good standing; WA license preferred if applicable; pending licenses not accepted.
- BLS certification required.
- Minimum 1 year RN experience; LTAC experience preferred but not required; first-time travelers accepted.
- EPIC charting experience required.
- Ability to work in a LTAC-style long-length-of-stay unit with dementia/autism and acute medical patients; comfortable with behavioral/cognitive challenges.
- Floating: Regular float to like Med‑Surg units within skill set; not required to float mid-shift.
- Weekend coverage: Every other weekend (EOW) as part of the schedule.
- RTO preference: keep under 7 days.
- Travel eligibility: Local travelers within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for travel contracts.
- Orientation: 12 hours; pre-start modules typically ~16 hours (completed prior to start).
- References: 2 references covering 1 year within the last 3 years (required during compliance).
