Overview
Registered Nurse – Med Surg, Alturas, California. Travel - Temporary Assignment starting 08/10/2026 for 13 weeks, with guaranteed 36 hours per week on the Night shift in a hospital setting. Weekly pay ranges from $2,306 to $2,448 per week. The role is flexible and may cover either Med/Surg or Emergency Department needs depending on department demand.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to Med/Surg and ER populations as assigned
- Perform comprehensive assessments, monitor vitals, and respond to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications and therapies, including IVs, and monitor for adverse reactions
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
- Document accurately in the electronic health record; ensure timely communication with handoffs and discharges
- Practice patient- and family-centered care with emphasis on safety, infection control, and compliance with privacy regulations

Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current California RN license in good standing
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
- ACLS, PALS, and CPR certifications mandatory; TNCC required within one year of hire
- Ability to work in both Med/Surg and Emergency Department settings as needed
- Strong teamwork, interpersonal, problem-solving, and written/oral communication skills
- Scrubs color policy: Caribbean Blue scrubs required
- Sexual Harassment Prevention Training: certificate of completion required prior to start (annual training)
