Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adults undergoing electrophysiology procedures, including pre-procedure preparation and post-procedure recovery.
- Assist physicians during EP studies and ablations, monitor hemodynamics, and respond to arrhythmias per protocol.
- Maintain sterile technique, manage EP lab equipment and supplies, and ensure readiness for procedures.
- Document care and procedural data in the EP lab EMR (EPIC) with accuracy and timeliness.
- Interpret basic EKG rhythms, coordinate patient care with the cardiology team, and support safe patient transitions to appropriate care areas.
- May float to outpatient facilities as needed and participate in on-call activities; collaborate with IP, OP, and ICU teams as part of a multidisciplinary environment.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in Vermont
- Minimum 2 years RN experience; EP Lab experience preferred
- EPIC experience within the last 2 years
- BLS certification; EKG recognition/arrhythmia knowledge
- Ability to work 40 hours per week with four 10-hour shifts; on-call availability; float to outpatient facilities as needed
- Education: nursing degree from an accredited program; current RN credential
