Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care and assessments to patients in a corrections setting in accordance with facility policies and clinical protocols.
- Administer prescribed medications, verify orders, monitor for adverse reactions, and document in the medical record.
- Perform routine vital signs monitoring, wound care, triage, and basic treatments within the LPN scope; report changes to the supervising RN or physician.
- Maintain accurate, confidential medical records and assist with patient transfers or escorts as required by protocol.
- Ensure safety, security, and infection control standards are followed while collaborating with health and security teams.
Requirements
- Active LPN license in good standing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Ability to work night shifts.
- Willingness to work in a corrections setting.
- Graduation from an approved practical nursing program.
