Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to adult residents in a corrections-based long-term care environment
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered; monitor patient responses and report changes to the supervising nurse
- Perform routine assessments, monitor vital signs, document findings, and escalate concerns per protocol
- Assist with activities of daily living and daily rehabilitation activities; support patient safety and comfort
- Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team to implement and adjust care plans
- Maintain accurate documentation in the medical record and comply with regulatory and facility policies
Requirements
- Active LPN license to practice in North Carolina
- Current CPR certification
- Experience in long-term care or equivalent patient care setting
- Ability to work in a corrections environment
- Availability for a 14-week travel assignment starting 04/01/2026
