Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy services to adult patients in an inpatient rehab setting, including evaluation, treatment planning, and direct therapy sessions.
- Collaborate with the rehab team to develop and implement patient-centered goals; adjust plans based on progress and outcomes.
- Document clinical findings, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge planning in accordance with regulatory and facility standards.
- Facilitate activities of daily living training, mobility, upper-extremity strengthening, and cognitive rehabilitation aligned with individual goals.
- Monitor patient safety and response to therapy; communicate with nurses, physicians, and families as appropriate.
- Maintain infection control practices, safety protocols, and patient privacy (HIPAA) while delivering quality care.
Requirements
- Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license (state licensure as applicable)
- Ability to work in an inpatient rehab setting within a long-term care environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across disciplines
- Willingness to participate in a 13-week travel assignment and adhere to shift schedule (5x8 days)
