Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for an assigned patient group according to established standards and the nursing process.
- Administer medications, monitor patient status, manage symptoms, and document care in the charting system.
- Supervise and direct activities of various nursing staff levels on shift; coordinate care with physicians, social workers, case managers, and other disciplines.
- Apply critical thinking and professional judgment to care planning, ensuring safety and quality outcomes.
- Communicate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team to support treatment plans, discharge planning, and education.
- If assigned to Float Pool duties, clock in to the unit being worked and comply with unit-specific procedures and scheduling.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license (state requirements apply) and ability to practice in California.
- Ability to work the requested shift: 3x12-night schedule.
- Competence in delivering care within a home healthcare - hospice setting and coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Strong documentation, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
- Willingness to participate in a 13-week travel assignment and to adhere to credentialing and onboarding processes.
