Responsibilities
- Perform MRI examinations using Philips MRI systems, following established protocols and imaging sequences
- Verify patient identity, obtain consent, explain procedures, and monitor patient safety throughout the study
- Position patients and coils, adjust imaging parameters, and optimize image quality while minimizing artifacts
- Screen patients for MRI safety contraindications and maintain MR safety standards; ensure patient comfort
- Document procedure details and findings in the electronic medical record (Epic) accurately and within required timeframes
- Collaborate with radiologists and other team members; report equipment issues and ensure routine maintenance and cleanliness of the MRI suite
Requirements
- Active ARRT or ARMRIT license; MR advanced licensure required
- MRI Tech Certification Verification (Equivalency) and BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of MRI experience; teaching hospital experience preferred
- Philips MRI system experience required
- Epic experience within the past 2 years required
- Prior travel experience preferred
- Must be flexible to float between inpatient and outpatient locations as needed
