Occupational Therapist, Acute Care – Travel assignment in Belen, New Mexico. Start date 07/13/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range $2,064–$2,244 per week. Guaranteed hours 35 per week. Shift: 5x8 days (day shift). Setting: Skilled Nursing Facility.

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive OT evaluations and establish individualized treatment plans to improve activities of daily living, mobility, and cognitive function.
- Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, select appropriate modalities and equipment, and monitor progress to adjust goals as needed.
- Document assessment findings, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in the electronic health record accurately and timely.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (nursing, physical therapy, speech therapy, social work) to support coordinated care and discharge planning.
- Educate residents and families on home exercise programs, adaptive strategies, and safety practices to promote independence and safety at home.
- Adhere to infection control, patient privacy, and safety guidelines; participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities as required.
Requirements
- Current, unrestricted Occupational Therapist license in New Mexico or eligible for licensure in New Mexico.
- Graduation from an accredited occupational therapy program (Master’s or Doctorate in OT).
- NBCOT certification and/or eligibility preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of OT experience in acute care or skilled nursing rehabilitation settings preferred.
- Ability to work a 13-week travel assignment; strong documentation and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team and in a rehabilitation setting.
