Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive OT evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for residents with functional limitations.
- Deliver direct therapy to improve activities of daily living, mobility, balance, and strength; monitor progress toward goals.
- Implement, document, and adjust therapy sessions in accordance with regulatory standards and facility policies.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team (nursing, PT, SLP, social work) to support holistic resident care and discharge planning.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in patient records; ensure compliance with licensing and payer requirements.
- Promote safety, infection control, and proper equipment use; educate residents and families on home/activity adaptations as appropriate.
Requirements
- Active Occupational Therapist license in the United States or eligibility for licensure in New Mexico.
- Experience in rehabilitation, preferably within a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.
- Ability to work the listed shift and meet guaranteed hours; reliable transportation to the assignment site.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to document clearly and collaborate with the care team.
- Willingness to travel and commit to a 13-week assignment starting 07/13/2026.
- Ability to pass required background checks and credentialing processes.
