Responsibilities
- Operate imaging modalities including X-ray, CT, ultrasound, MRI, nuclear medicine, and/or mammography; perform imaging exams across at least three modalities regularly.
- Safely position and transfer patients between gurneys and wheelchairs; maintain patient privacy and comfort during procedures.
- Prepare contrast agents as required and perform mobile imaging examinations when needed.
- Ensure image quality and proper documentation according to department protocols; maintain equipment readiness and perform basic quality checks.
- Adhere to safety standards (radiation protection, ALARA principles) and contribute to departmental objectives and patient care goals.
- Collaborate with radiology staff to coordinate exams, support workflow efficiency, and respond to emergent imaging needs as assigned.
Requirements
- Education: Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology required; Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent preferred; Master’s Degree preferred.
- Licenses/Certifications: Radiologic Technologist (RT) license in the state of practice; ARRT certification (Radiography required); current certification in one modality and ability to perform duties in at least one additional advanced modality (CT, Mammography, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Sonography, PET) required; ARRT-Radiography (ARRT-R) required; ARRT-CT or ARRT-M or equivalent modality credentials (or ARMRIT, SNMT, ARRT-S, RDMS, RDCS, CCI-RCS, RTPET) required; Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification from an approved vendor required.
- Experience: At least two years of recent experience in the field preferred; three years' technical experience preferred.
- Other: Must have current BLS certification and a current nursing license per the state of assignment; must be able to work in a travel assignment in Templeton, CA.
