Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines using clinical judgment and independent discretion.
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, administer medications and interventions as ordered, assist with labor and delivery, and provide postpartum and neonate care as appropriate.
- Communicate effectively with obstetric teams, anesthesia, neonatology, and support services to ensure safe, comprehensive care and timely escalation of changes in patient condition.
- Document care, adherence to policies, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements; participate in discharge planning and patient/family education.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Experience in labor and delivery or perinatal care is preferred
- Ability to work nights and 12-hour shifts in a hospital setting
- Eligibility to work in the United States
