Travel Registered Nurse Oncology Job
Registered Nurse – Oncology (Travel) is available for a 13-week assignment in a hospital setting in Cumming, GA. This travel RN role starts on 06/01/2026, with guaranteed 36 hours per week and a weekly pay range of $1,625 to $1,699. You will work 12-hour night shifts on a 12x3 schedule (7:00 pm–7:30 am). This position focuses on progressive care/step-down patient needs within the oncology specialty.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for oncology patients on a progressive care/step-down unit, including assessment, monitoring, and symptom management.
- Administer prescribed medications and therapies, including IV medications, and monitor for adverse reactions.
- Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Monitor patient status, escalate changes promptly, and respond to emergencies as part of a trained ICU/PCU-level team.
- Document care accurately in the electronic medical record, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
- Educate patients and families on illness, treatment plans, medication administration, and discharge planning; coordinate transition of care as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in progressive care, step-down, or intermediate care settings.
- Certifications: American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and NIH Certification required.
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in a hospital environment.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced oncology PCU/step-down setting and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
