Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Tele Job
Registered Nurse – Med Surg Tele, Rochester, New York, United States. Start date: 05/04/2026. Duration: Weeks (travel assignment). Weekly pay: $2,054–$2,217 per week. Guaranteed hours: None. Shift: 3x12 Nights. Setting: Hospital unit (Medical-Surgical Telemetry) with adult and geriatric patient populations. Employment type: Travel – Temporary Assignment. Unit requires Epic charting experience preferred; position includes on-floor support and cross-unit collaboration.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adults and geriatric patients on the MS/Tele unit
- Monitor and interpret dysrhythmias; respond to rapid response activations and codes as needed
- Manage respiratory and hemodynamic equipment (BIPAP, CPAP, High Flow, ventilators, trach care, chest tubes) and ensure device safety
- Administer medications, establish peripheral IV access, perform phlebotomy, and care for IV lines
- Document assessments and care in the electronic medical record (Epic preferred) and participate in interdisciplinary rounds
- Collaborate with IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, social services, unit secretary, transport, and interpretation services
Requirements
- Active New York RN license in hand for submission
- BLS certification; NIHSS required
- Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience (Med/Surg or Tele)
- Proficiency in phlebotomy and IV insertion
- Epic charting experience preferred; facility uses Epic
- Ability to work in an MS/Tele clinical setting and float within scope to similar units
- Night shift availability; ability to meet unit-specific requirements and patient care needs
- RTO restrictions: No more than 1 week; cannot submit candidates with more than 10 days RTO; local candidates within 75 miles are not considered
