Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Job
Registered Nurse – Med Surg in Pocatello, Idaho. Start date: 07/06/2026. Travel - Temporary Assignment for several weeks. 3x12-hour day shifts. Weekly pay range: $1,425–$1,494 per week. No guaranteed hours. Hospital setting focused on adult and geriatric med/surg care.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adult and geriatric med/surg patients following unit protocols and care plans.
- Monitor patient status and respond to changes; manage ventilatory support, including HFNC, BiPAP/CPAP, non-invasive airway management, and tracheostomy care as needed.
- Perform vascular/IV tasks: peripheral IVs, PICC management, central line blood draws, and blood product administration.
- Deliver post-operative and procedural care: chest tubes, surgical drains, PCA administration, and post-angiogram or post-op monitoring.
- Manage medical conditions common to the unit: sepsis, AKI/renal issues, cardiac care, insulin management; implement isolation precautions and CIWA/substance withdrawal management when indicated.
- Provide additional care such as feeding tube care and wound care (including wound vac), and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (PT, Respiratory, Pharmacy, Social Services, Radiology, Translational services) to support patient needs.
Requirements
- Active RN license in Idaho or a valid compact license in hand at time of submittal
- BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience (Med/Surg)
- Travel assignment experience required
- Epic charting experience required
- Ability to work in a hospital Med/Surg setting with 6:1 patient ratios; Trauma Level II experience preferred
