Travel Surgical Tech Job
Surgical Tech travel assignment in Mammoth Lakes, California. Specialty: Surgical Tech. Start date: 06/15/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,374-$1,478 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week. Shift: rotating 3x12 schedule (day/evening). Setting: hospital environment with rural/critical access designation.

Responsibilities
- Create and maintain a sterile field; scrub all surgical procedures
- Inspect sterile items for contamination before opening; prepare and maintain sterile supplies
- Anticipate the needs for equipment and supplies before the case begins; ensure all equipment is functioning
- Operate and maintain mechanical, electrical, and air-powered equipment per manufacturer instructions
- Scrub specialty procedures and understand the needs, techniques, and requirements of individual surgeons (including sports medicine and trauma) without on-site sales representative support
- Assist the registered nurse with completion of the operative charge and documentation of hardware used
- Collect specimens and specimens? cultures by verifying source and correct tissue identification with the surgeon
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of operating room experience as a Surgical Technician or completed Surgical Technician training
- Certification or eligible for certification preferred
- BLS certification required (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
- Ability to scrub a variety of surgical procedures in a hospital operating room
- Ability to work in a hospital operating room environment
