Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (Acute Care) – Albuquerque, New Mexico. Start date 08/31/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment. Weekly pay range: $1,659–$1,704 per week with guaranteed 35 hours. Shift: 8-hour days, 5 days per week (08:00–16:30). This position supports rehabilitation services in a care setting delivering occupational therapy to adult patients.

Responsibilities
- Deliver targeted therapeutic interventions under supervision to improve functional independence for adult patients recovering from illness or injury.
- Implement and document progress toward treatment goals; adjust plans as needed in collaboration with the interprofessional team.
- Assist with activities of daily living, mobility, transfers, and gait training as appropriate and safe for the patient.
- Participate in discharge planning and patient education; communicate patient status and needs with nursing, therapy, and case management.
- Maintain safety, proper body mechanics, and adherence to infection control protocols; use assistive devices and adaptive equipment as indicated.
Requirements
- Active COTA licensure/certification to practice in the United States; state requirements for the assignment location apply.
- Ability to work in an acute care rehabilitation setting with adult patients.
- Strong communication and documentation skills; ability to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.
- Availability to work 35 hours per week for a 13-week assignment starting 08/31/2026; willingness to travel for a travel assignment.
- Relevant experience in occupational therapy within acute care or rehabilitation settings is preferred.
