Registered Nurse – ICU (Critical Care Float Pool) in Fortuna, California. Start date: 05/04/2026. Duration: Weeks. Weekly pay: $2,082–$2,247 per week. Shift: 3x12 Nights. Setting: acute care hospital with ICU coverage and cross-unit float requirements. This travel assignment requires comfort floating to Medical/Surgical, Emergency Department, and ICU units.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for ICU patients, including ventilator management and high-flow oxygen therapies (HFNC, BiPAP/CPAP) and continuous monitoring.
- Manage arterial and central lines, interpret ABGs, and titrate vasoactive and cardiac vasoactive drips; administer blood products as ordered.
- Support patients across unit transitions (ICU, ED, MS) and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
- Perform procedural tasks such as IV access, suctioning, and appropriate monitoring during procedural sedation; ensure accurate documentation in the charting system.
- Maintain patient safety, infection control, and age-appropriate care (infants through geriatrics); provide clear shift handoffs to incoming staff.

Requirements
- Active California Registered Nurse license preferred; pending licenses accepted per job entry; valid CA license in hand required for submission.
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of ICU experience; travel experience required; first-time traveler welcome.
- Charting: Epic charting experience required; Scrubs familiarity helpful.
- Licensure and location: CA licensure within radius; 50-mile local submission rule; must be within the region and only submit to one location.
- RTO: Submission must include RTO; pre-approved time off allowed: one; RTO restrictions: no more than 7 days.
- References: Minimum 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within the last 3 years.
- COVID-19 vaccine: Not required.
