Responsibilities
- Provide direct, patient-centered care to adult Med Surg patients on the assigned unit, including post-surgical and general medical patients.
- Monitor patient status, perform assessments, administer medications and treatments per protocol, and document care in the electronic health record.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care, manage fluids and drains, formulate discharge planning, and educate patients and families.
- Maintain safety and infection control standards, respond to call bells, and adjust care as patients’ conditions change.
- Float to other units as needed to support patient care and unit operations.
Requirements
- Active New York RN license with NURSYS verification and all active RN licenses
- 2+ years of Med Surg experience
- Travel experience required; EPIC EMR experience
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification
- Valid driver's license with address matching demographics
- Up-to-date resume showing Med Surg and travel experience
- RTO (Requests Time Off) must be included at time of submission
