Travel Registered Nurse OR Job
Registered Nurse, Operating Room (Travel) in Cambridge, MA. This 13-week travel assignment starts 07/28/2026 with guaranteed 40 hours per week. The role is in a hospital setting within the Operating Room, with a rotating 4x10 schedule (4 days per week, 10 hours each). The posted weekly pay range is $2,897–$2,907 per week. Rotations may include 7:00 AM–5:30 PM, 9:00 AM–7:30 PM, or 11:00 AM–9:30 PM. Local candidates within 50 miles are welcome at the local rate (reduced by $8 compared to posted rate). Current AHA BLS is required, and travel experience is expected for first-time travelers.

Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care for patients undergoing surgical procedures in the OR, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the perioperative cycle.
- Maintain strict sterile technique, attend to instrument counts, and assist the surgical team with passing instruments and supplies as needed.
- Monitor patient status before, during, and after procedures; recognize and respond to changes in patient condition promptly.
- Document intraoperative events, interventions, and patient responses in the EMR; coordinate with anesthesia, surgeons, and support staff.
- Adhere to established policies and standards (including EPIC EMR when applicable); participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to support timely, safe, and efficient patient care; contribute to postoperative recovery planning as required.
Requirements
- Active MA Registered Nurse license with Nursys verification showing all licenses current or conditional
- AHA BLS certification; flu vaccine during the season
- Minimum 1 year of OR experience (travel experience required or noted in submission requirements)
- Demonstrated ability to work in an Operating Room setting with rotating, 4x10-hour shifts
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
- Submission requirements: up-to-date resume with OR experience; 2 recent Manager/Supervisor references in OR; skills checklist; valid driver’s license with address matching demographics
- RTO (time off) requests must be included at submission and are not guaranteed after confirmation
