Respiratory Therapist (Registered) – Travel Assignment in Hilo, Hawaii. This 15-week contract starts on 09/21/2026 with a 36-hour work week comprised of three 12-hour day shifts (0630-1900). Weekly pay ranges from $1,983 to $2,174. Settings: inpatient hospital environment. Guaranteed hours: none. This position requires active Hawaii licensure by start and the ability to provide continuous airway management across adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations.

Responsibilities
- Provide continuous airway management for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients, including ventilator and non-invasive ventilation support.
- Collaborate with physicians and the health care team; participate in CPR and all aspects of respiratory care.
- Assess, plan, implement, and document respiratory therapies and interventions per physician orders.
- Monitor and adjust ventilator settings, perform weaning protocols when indicated, and manage related respiratory equipment.
- Utilize unit equipment and resources (e.g., computerized charting, medication management systems, ventilators such as V60, PB 980, PB 840) and assist with medication administration as appropriate.
Requirements
- Hawaii state license in Respiratory Therapy (RRT) required by start of assignment; current Hawaii license preferred, but applicants with an approved Hawaii license application may be considered.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS; NRP preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience caring for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients; no first assignments.
- Ability to work day shift (0630-1900) and participate in a 3x12-hour schedule; comfortable in a hospital/inpatient setting.
- Must meet pre-employment requirements, including proof of flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.
