Travel Registered Nurse L&D Job
Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (L&D) for a travel assignment in Hawaii. The start date is 05/11/2026, with a 13-week duration. Weekly pay ranges from $2,616 to $2,757, and there are no guaranteed hours. Shift is 3x12 Nights. Work setting is a hospital environment within a rural community context. This role requires labor and delivery and nursery couplet care experience and is contingent upon Hawaii RN licensure.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for laboring patients and newborns, including routine postpartum and nursery care as part of couplet care.
- Monitor maternal and fetal status with intermediate or advanced fetal monitoring, recognizing nonreassuring trends and escalating as needed.
- Collaborate with obstetric teams, assist with deliveries as appropriate, and maintain sterile technique and documentation in the electronic medical record.
- Assume charge nurse duties when assigned, with compensation of $2.00 per hour for those shifts, and support other team members as needed without acting as the primary nurse in off-unit assignments.
- Be prepared to float to assist other departments as needed, while maintaining primary focus on L&D and nursery responsibilities.
- Manage an active caseload with attention to patient safety, documentation accuracy, and patient-family education.
Requirements
- Current Hawaii RN license is required.
- Labor & Delivery and Nursery experience with couplet care is required (rural hospital setting familiarity preferred).
- Intermediate or advanced fetal monitoring proficiency is required.
- Ability to work 3x12 night shifts.
- Knowledge of and ability to work in a hospital/labor and delivery environment; strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Eligible for reference checks to be conducted via email (no phone calls).
