Setting: Hospital-based travel assignment with float pool responsibilities for PCU/IMCU cardiac populations

Responsibilities
- Float among PCU and IMCU floors, providing direct bedside care to a cardiac patient population.
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, administer and titrate cardiac drips (Milrinone, Dobutamine) and vasopressors as ordered, and manage telemetry data.
- Collaborate with cardiology and interdisciplinary teams; respond to STEMI/NSTEMI presentations per unit protocols.
- Document accurately in EPIC EMR; perform complete assessments, care plans, medication administration records, and thorough shift handoffs.
- Maintain infection prevention practices, patient safety, and adherence to clinical guidelines and quality metrics.
- Educate patients and families on treatments, procedures, medications, and discharge planning; participate in patient rounds and care coordination.
- Ensure smooth patient transitions, escalate concerns promptly, and function effectively in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Active RN license (Georgia or eligibility for Georgia assignment)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a similar-sized facility or unit (PCU/IMCU or cardiac-focused)
- Cardiac care experience; float pool experience preferred
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR and strong documentation skills
- Ability to float across PCU/IMCU units as needed and work in a fast-paced cardiac setting
