Responsibilities
- Provide direct care to adults in the CVICU, including invasive line management and post-operative support for cardiac surgery patients
- Monitor hemodynamics, administer vasoactive medications, and titrate therapies per physician orders
- Manage mechanical ventilation and assist with weaning as appropriate
- Recognize and respond to rapid changes in patient status; collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Document care plans, progress notes, and medication administration in the electronic medical record
- Ensure adherence to infection control practices, patient safety standards, and unit protocols
Requirements
- BLS certification required
- Availability for a 13-week travel assignment
- Ability to work 0700–1930 day shifts (12.5-hour shifts)
- Eligible to work in a CVICU setting
