Responsibilities
- Deliver direct, coordinated nursing care for ICU patients using the nursing process.
- Monitor patient status, analyze data, identify changes, and implement appropriate interventions.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and coordinate care with families to plan and execute treatment and discharge plans.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of nursing staff; delegate tasks and supervise care delivery.
- Maintain thorough documentation, promote a safe and healing environment, and participate in rounds and care planning.
- Provide education to patients and families and support treatment teams with timely communication.
Requirements
- Current RN license in the state of practice (California) or applicable state
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification from an approved vendor
- At least two years of recent ICU or acute care experience
- Epic EMR experience required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Ability to work effectively in an ICU/acute care setting; eligible for state licensure as required
