Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines.
- Utilize critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent discretion to plan and deliver care.
- Conduct ongoing assessments, plan and evaluate patient status, administer medications and treatments, and monitor for changes.
- Communicate and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective, and continuous patient care; document care accurately.
Requirements
- Ability to provide safe, patient-centered nursing care in a Med Surg setting.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Capacity to work 12-hour day shifts and maintain a 36-hour weekly schedule.
- Willingness to commit to a 13-week travel assignment.
- Must meet credentialing and licensure requirements as determined during the hiring process.
