Travel Licensed Practical Nurse Long-Term Care Job
LPN – Long-Term Care in Gallup, New Mexico. This travel temporary assignment starts on 03/02/2026 and runs for 5 weeks with guaranteed hours of 36 per week. Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care under supervision of a registered nurse or physician in a long-term care environment
- Administer prescribed medications and document administration accurately
- Monitor and document patient status, vital signs, and changes; report any concerns promptly
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) and mobility
- Perform routine nursing tasks such as wound care, catheter and ostomy care, and basic assessments within scope
- Maintain accurate charting in the electronic health record and ensure continuity of care
- Adhere to infection control, safety, and quality standards; collaborate with the interdisciplinary team
Requirements
- Active LPN license in good standing (state NM or compact license)
- Graduation from an approved practical nursing program
- 1 year of long-term care experience preferred
- Ability to work nights: 19:00–07:30 and adapt to travel assignment requirements
- Demonstrated critical thinking, communication, and documentation skills
- Eligibility for a temporary travel assignment in a skilled nursing facility setting
