Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care to adults on the Med Surg unit, including assessment, monitoring, and ongoing evaluation
- Administer medications, manage IVs and enteral tubes per physician orders; document actions in EPIC
- Monitor patient status, respond to changes, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to adjust care plans
- Maintain patient safety and comfort, including wound care, mobility assistance, and infection control practices
- Float to other units as needed per assignment; participate in discharge planning and patient education
Requirements
- Active NY RN license with Nursys verification; all active RN licenses in good standing
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- 2+ years of Med Surg experience; travel experience required; local rate available for locals within 75 miles
- EPIC EMR experience
- RTO (time off) must be included at the time of submission
- Ability to work night shift (6:30 pm–7:00 am) and float to other units as needed
