Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive speech-language pathology evaluation and treatment for adults with communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in an outpatient rehab setting.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans; document progress and adjust plans based on outcomes.
- Deliver direct therapy using evidence-based approaches; collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support holistic patient care.
- Educate patients and families on therapy goals, home exercise programs, and safety considerations; participate in discharge planning.
- Ensure compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and other government regulations; maintain accurate documentation and coding as part of care delivery.
- Maintain licensure and certifications (GA state licensure, ASHA CCC, AHA BLS) and engage in ongoing professional development.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Georgia Speech-Language Pathologist licensure
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- AHA BLS certification
- 15–18 months of recent experience within the specialty
- Ability to work in an outpatient rehabilitation setting; comfort with adult medical population
- Previous experience with Medicare/Medicaid awareness is helpful but not required
