Travel Registered Nurse OR Job
Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR) in a hospital setting. Location: Cambridge, MA, United States. Start date: 05/05/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,745–$2,950 per week. Guaranteed hours: 40 per week. Shift: rotating 4x10s. This is a travel - temporary assignment supported by Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care for adult patients in the operating room, supporting surgical teams across multiple specialties.
- Assist with patient positioning, scrubbing, gowning, instrument handling, and maintaining sterile technique throughout procedures.
- Monitor intraoperative patient status, document vital signs, count sponges/sharps/instruments, and communicate any changes to the team.
- Support anesthesia providers as needed, facilitate specimen handling, and manage OR turnover between cases.
- Adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and EPIC or other EMR documentation practices; participate in on-call and holiday coverage as required.
- Participate in post-anesthesia and handoff processes to ensure continuity of care.
Requirements
- License: Active Massachusetts RN license; NURSYS verification showing active current or conditional license; must display all licenses (past or present).
- Experience: 1+ year(s) of OR nursing experience in the specialty.
- Certifications: Current AHA BLS and ACLS required.
- EMR: EPIC experience preferred.
- Immunizations: Flu vaccine required during season.
- Additional: Drivers license with address matching demographics; submission must include up-to-date resume with 1+ year OR experience and documentation of travel experience; 2 recent Manager/Supervisor references in the same specialty; Skills checklist matching specialty.
- Locational note: Will accept locals within 50 miles; local rate will apply (minimum $8 less than posted rate).
- Scheduling: RTO (requested time off) must be included at time of submission and will not be guaranteed after confirmation.
- Other: EMR experience preferred (EPIC); must be able to work every other major holiday.
