Responsibilities
- Administer basic and advanced respiratory care therapies for adult and geriatric patients as ordered, with appropriate documentation.
- Provide aerosol and oxygen therapy, monitor patient response, and maintain care records and charges in the electronic medical record.
- Manage care for patients requiring ventilation, including monitoring and adjusting equipment per physician orders.
- Perform arterial blood gas draws per policy and orders, and contribute to department record-keeping and quality documentation.
- Assist in training and supervising new staff or delegations, and support department operations and equipment surveillance after initial setup.
- Conduct pulmonary function tests as applicable and support ongoing departmental duties and compliance.

Requirements
- Licensure: Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required in California; NBRC-RRT or NBRC-CRT credential required in CA.
- Certifications: CPR/BLS required; NRP preferred; ACLS required; PALS required; PEARS preferred; Basic Life Support (BLS) required per AH policy; AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS required; facility-specific BLS certification required.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent; Master’s Degree preferred.
- Experience: At least two years of recent experience in respiratory therapy; current BLS; and a current nursing license per the state of assignment.
- Additional: Ability to work in a hospital setting in Templeton, California; maintain documentation and comply with department policies.
